Getting started
From installation to a
quiet Windows companion.
Install the Windows build
Choose Koi or Vinyl Angel above, download the Windows installer, and open it when the download finishes.
Choose the interface language
The first screen asks for a language before the companion and its services begin. Twelve interface languages are included.
Open only what you need
Leave the companion quietly on the desktop, or open one of the little spaces above whenever you need a hand.

Before you install
Made to stay close to your computer,
not to look inside your life.
A clear summary of what the companions store, when they connect, and how updates are checked.
Local by default
No ads, accounts, analytics, or telemetry. Local file search stores names and paths in a local index; file contents are not uploaded.
Clear local control
Recent activity, screenshots, playback-resume data, and diagnostic logs can be cleared. The uninstaller asks before removing local app data.
Optional connections
Weather and place lookup are optional. The public Koi no Koe feed and update manifest are checked only for the features you enable.
Verified updates
Updates are checked against the official endpoint, expected product, file size, and SHA-256 value before installation.

01What stays on my computer?
Your settings, lists, local search index, screenshots, and recent activity stay on your own Windows device. Optional weather, place lookup, channel feed, and update checks connect only when their features need them.
02What if Windows shows a security notice?
Download only from this official page and check that the filename matches the companion you chose. A reputation notice can appear for a newer free app; if anything looks different or unexpected, cancel and return here rather than continuing.
03How do updates work?
Each companion checks the official update information and verifies the expected product, size, and file fingerprint before installing a newer build.
04Where can I share feedback or ask for help?
You are welcome to comment beneath any video on the official Koi no Koe channel and tell me how the companions feel to use.
